Sunday and Missin' Home

>> Sunday, June 24, 2007

Slept really late for two consecutive nights.. We had two despedida parties for Ems since she'll be back to Manila today. :) Last night, I was able to chat with Mon for hours and made me miss home. :(

Now I'm bored and lonely.. Accompanied Ems at the bus station 7am since she's bound back to Manila (made me miss home again). Fell asleep again and woke up 10am just to find out that the washing machine stopped for the nth time. Pissed since my clothes was there since 1am. Machine worked again after trying all sorts.
Arrggghhh... I should wash the another set of my clothes or else I have nothing to wear this coming week. Hehe..

Oh well... Nothing much to do.. After eating bread for brunch, just surfed the net for news. Remembered that Tin asked me to search Connie Talbot at youtube, so i did. She's so adorable. Watched a few more videos from Britain's Got Talent show when I suddenly noticed a video by Marie Digby. I checked out her videos and got instantly hooked! Aside from being really beautiful, she's has musical talent. Super galing! Check her original composition... I'm sure you'll check out her rendition of popular songs. I really loved her versions of Makes Me Wonder by Maroon5, Nelly Furtado's Say It Right/All Good Things Come to an End, Rihanna's Umbrella and Incubus' Love Hurts.

She's from the US and digging further, I was able to see her myspace account and she already has an album. Made me more excited. :) Listened to three songs on her album and they're all good. :)

I'm actually think she has Filipino roots, tried to check wikipedia but found nothing. Probably after a few weeks, she'll have an entry there to confirm if my speculations are true. For now, I'll just enjoy watching her and listening to her songs.. Over and over! Hehehe.. Hooked nga eh! ;)

Away for Two Weeks

>> Wednesday, June 20, 2007

I am currently here in HK for work. Been here since Monday evening and I was so excited to see Ria and Ems again. :) There's no work yesterday since it's Dragonboat Festival here. So, we just went malling to Tsim Sha Tsui's Harbour City and ate at pizza hut. Pizza hut is a bit fancy here since they have a variety of pasta to choose from. We also went to ladies market in Mongkok, ate street food (che chai cold noodles) and ramen + sushi at Ichiban. It was very tiring due to heat ('twas 31degrees here) and long walks but worth it since I'm with a very good company :)

As for today, usual work at the office. We ate yamcha at the newly opened restaurant at the mall. Yumyum! Went to a walk after lunch since I'm super full. After work, just went around the mall for a while. Ems went home with some street food and of course, it's delicious! hehehe.. Thanks Ems! We also ate a cabbage and squid ball. Snowy says it seems like it's okonomiyaki. :)

Now, each of us is doing our own stuff. Ems watching house, Cris doing the dishes at the kitchen and Snow freshening up. As for me, I'm talking to my dear husband, weng and tin while doing this entry. Hehehe.. :)

That's all for now. More updates in the coming days. ;)

First Time ko Ma-tag!

>> Thursday, June 14, 2007

Visited Harbie's blog and found out I've been tagged! Yahoo.. I'm supposed to write about seven random things about me. I'm super excited that I can't even think of any! Buloks! Hahaha.. Been thinking of weird things about me eh hehehe.. I think that'll do na rin. Here it is:

1. I am now a fan of sashimi, sushi and maki. :) Salmon's my fave.. Yum.. As in one time, nagcrave ako for the whole week (pero thrice lang kami kumain). Thanks to Mon and my friends Hazel and Gnet. Hehe..

2. I'm a late bloomer when it comes to being active in organizations. Credit that to my shyness and being fearful of a lot of things. I have been a member of some orgs before but when I went to SPI for work, I became more active in joining competitions, organizing and participating in company events. Oh, and nothing beats the fact the I became an instant performer during my SPI days. (Oo, pinangangalandakan ko na hahaha). I became a lead singer of a band, joined a competition and won first place! The best thing was going to rehearsals almost everyday, collaborate with talented people and conquering my fear of performing in front of people. ;)

3. I can chase rats but it's a different story when it comes to cockroaches (or any other crawling insects). Gives me the creeps even if I'm just looking at it na tipong I'd scream at the top of my lungs when I see one or worse flying pa. As in malakas ang radar ko pag andyan sila sa tabi-tabi. Just recently, I had an encounter with the icky ipis at our car. We are heading home when I felt an ipis walk on my foot. Ewwww! Nanigas na ako sa seat ko and I'm nearly into tears. Then I saw it walking sa may window ko and I gave out my loudest shriek and cried so hard. I cried the entire time until we reached home. Duwag!!! hahaha...

4. I can watch horror/suspense films a hundred times and scream like it was the first time I saw it. :p

5. Marami akong kinakatakutan and another is being submerged sa waters. Kaya I'm not a fan of summer at pag-swim although I really love pa din na sumama sa outing. The trauma was rooted sa childhood ko 'cause there were instances na "nilunod" ako ng brother ko at ng cousin ko. Add to that yung latest trauma ko when I gave in sa pag-banana boat ng mga officemates ko and itinaob kami ni manong. That's my first and LAST banana boat ride. Hahaha...

6. Struggling cook ako. I really believe that a way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Idol ko nanay ko sa area na 'to kaya whenever I make something, she's the judge. Unfortunately, wala pa ako sa kalingkingan. Long way to go pa talaga Hehe.. But so far, I'm proud na wala pang bagsak sa panlasa ni Nanay, sa mga pamangkin ko lalo na kay Mon. :p In fact, Mon loves most of the dishes I cook. Iilan lang ang so-so hahaha.. Or is he just being polite??? Hmmm... Nah! Hehehe.. Ang dami nyang nakakain eh! :D

7. Once I have placed my ever favorite sweet almond oil hand lotion (it's from The Faceshop, given by Tin) at my office desk, nonstop na paglalagay ko sa hands. Lapit na nga maubos eh waaahhh!!! :)

Whew! Now that I'm done, I'm tagging all of you who have read this entry. Hehehe.. Mention ko na din yung yung in particular: Tin, Weng, Yongster, Cinds, Gnet, Kenot, Marhgil. ;)

Hibernating No More...

It's been two months since this blog was updated. Haayyy... Been thinking if I would still blog about the past but oh well, better late than never. So, what now??? *taking mental notes*

Ok let's start:

  • Company outing in Eagle Point Batangas (March 23-25) - had a lot of fun but it would probably be blast if Mon went with me. Got this video from Marhgil's site, grabbed it for you to see the views from Eagle Point. There's a link for the pics there but I'll post a separate pics sa multiply.

  • Another HongKong Trip (April 16-29) - was again sent by our company for our project. It's been what, 6 months since I last went there. Had lots of work lalo na nung last days ko but still managed to roam around HK (even went to Lamma Island) with two awesome gimik buddies, Ems and Ria. Harbie, your message nga pala for Ria was relayed hehehe.. Again, I have to post the pics. Ems, pengeng copy! ;)
  • Mon's birthday (May 4) - We celebrated Mon's birthday with his family at Gerry's Grill Shopwise. So convenient since it's just a few minutes away from home. Birthdays are always important with them since it is the only chance to be complete (aside from )
  • A day in Tagaytay (June 2) - Mon and I went with our office friends and Chinese officemates in Tagaytay. We enjoyed the trip a lot! Went to the zoo, ate at leslie's, stopped at Bag of Beans, rode a horse at picnic grove and bought some not-so-typical-stuffs. Pics for posting pa din. But here is one shot I really like (took this in one of the stores in picnic grove)
  • Paul and Dahl's Wedding (June 3) - he's Tin's brother. So happy that I was able to see Tin again after some time (2mos). She's based in Singapore na kasi along with Cel, Weng, Cinds and Lei. The wedding's wonderful, the food and music was superb.. made me and Mon to reminisce our own wedding. Haha.. Actually nostalgic since their church is Shrine of Jesus too. Too bad Tin and I were'nt able to spend more time together. Short lang kasi stay nya and she has lots of things to do pa. Haayyy...

Add-ons:
  • I again became a responsible citizen by voting in last May's election. There were statements by the government that this was so far the most peaceful elections we had. I beg to disagree! That's baloney! But still, I'm very hopeful that things will go well for the people. Lord, help us..
  • Been passionate with cooking for quite some time now. Would create a separate entry for this. Too bad, I wasn't able to take pictures on all my cooking stints. Watch out for my post! :)
  • Mon and I really love the Heroes series. Hahaha.. need I say more? *impatiently waiting for season 2*
So happy to be back and blogging. :) Yey!
