Dario and Tine's ROM

>> Sunday, April 3, 2011

April 2 was a very remarkable day for Tine and Dario as they embark a new chapter in their lives. They got married via civil rights here in Singapore and I must say, it's a day filled with love and laughter. :)

We arrived there promptly (330PM, not Filipino time hehe) and had some photo ops before guests start to arrive. We just had to grab the opportunity especially that Riley has no sumpong yet (but he rarely have sumpong episodes anyway). Here are some pics:

Guests started to come in by 4-430pm and the room got crowded fast. Lots of chika chika until we're suprised that Dario and Tine are already walking, entering the function room of their condo. The ceremony is actually starting! It was fast and breezy! Congrats to the newlyweds!

The middle pictures, we gave the couple their gift. We made a simple card for them. Here is the bigger version of the card:

Dario and Tin actually prepared three games (mind you with prizes). But among all three the game for the singles is the most fun of all. Here, they have to guess the what, when, where questions about the couple. Our two female colleagues are the final two contestants. Tin's male colleagues got the highest too. After a while, it became to female contestants for the only male contestant. After all the hullabaloo, our female colleague who loves to cook was chosen! woohoo! :)

This is a very wonderful and memorable event. We had a lot of fun alongside being happy for Dario and Tine. :)

Janet in SG!

>> Tuesday, February 8, 2011

Yes, we've watched this concert here in Singapore Indoor Stadium. It was a blast!

Janet's production numbers are all breathtaking! We can't help but dance along with her on upbeat songs and sing with her on love songs.

Really worth it!

The Chili's Singapore Experience

>> Sunday, January 31, 2010

Chili's here in SG is only located at Tanglin Mall (oh, they recently announced their new branch at Resort World sentosa). Good thing, it's very near our place. But it is so in demand that you have to wait minimum 45 minutes just to get a seat. Ngiii...

We were lucky one time to get a seat within 10mins. :) Probably because it is already 2pm. Everything we ordered really made us enjoy and crave some more! Of course, the servings are huge! We had no room for desserts because of that.

Here are some pics! *salivating right now*

Pepper Lunch Singapore

>> Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Eversince their Takashimaya branch closed, we were on 'Pepper Lunch Diet'. :p

Last Saturday, we went to Isetan along Orchard road to have a better view of the Christmas decors on the Orchard rd intersection. The transferred pepper lunch is there! Finally! After a few months, we were able to go pepper lunching. :)

I still liked the Takashimaya branch. It's more spacious and homey-looking. The Isetan branch is pretty small and situated on a seemingly odd corner of the mall. The place looks lonely and poorly lit.

I was mised emotions with their new set of menu. They had revised their set meal which now presents a variety of side dishes along with the main course and drinks. Mon was so sad that his super favorite japanese curry beef is not on the menu list anymore. :( I was happy to see more seafood dishes. Everytime I visit Pepper Lunch before, I kept answering their survey forms to suggest adding seafood in their menu. True enough, they now offer shrimp, unagi and scallops. :) Noticed more pasta dishes as well. :)

I still love their beef pepper rice. :)

Singapore Toy and Comic Convention

>> Monday, June 23, 2008

I wish my niece Katch is here with us for the weekend. This coming weekend is the Singapore Toy and Comic Convention (June 28-29) at Sunctec Convention hall 603. This will be first for Mon and I and I'm sure it will be a nice experience for us. Plus, we can take pictures and share it with Katch since she won't be with us here in SG. Hopefully there will be people dressed in blood+ anime characters so I can take pictures and send to her. Have watched one episode at animax and the characters are cute. :)

Checked their website for the event description and this is what they said:

"Fans and future-fans are welcome to attend the convention and be part of the melting pot of pop-culture. Activities include autograph signing sessions, live demonstrations and workshops with your favourite world-renowned artists and designers, a cosplay culture showcase and competitions, as well as the latest and greatest that the toy, comic, design, gaming, animation and cosplay industries have to offer!"

Too bad, the online pre-registration is already closed. With that, I am planning to go a bit early on the 29th since I am anticipating long lines in the registration area. They will be giving our passports upon registering, which the participant can use to collect stamps with allocated points. This stamp is convertible to goodies, which can be claimed at designated booths (at specific time).
