The Handburger

My former ISI officemates had this impromptu dinner together at The Handburger, 313 Somerset. It's been a while and with Billy now working in SG, the bunch is happier.
Food was great especially if shared with funny and wonderful people. You can judge yourself with the pictures below (We even had to go to Starbucks Plaza Singapura for after-dinner coffee).
Baby's Sick

I am a bad mom. I was down with coughs and colds and Riley got it from me.
He's really irritable here..
We did see his pediatrician at Paragon, Pacific Healthcare and he gave him some sea water spray and nose drops for the congestion.
Despite being sick, he likes to ride the zebra at the clinic..
Sick and tired..
Those meds helped a bit but his cough worsen. :( We have to take him back to the pedia and he was advised to use the nebulizer to help cure him alongside antibiotics and cough syrup.
We're really thankful to God that we did not have much problem nebulizing him and making him take his meds. He's getting better each day so we're relieved!

Sentosa Flower Festival

When I learned about the flower festival, I thought I really have to bring nanay to Sentosa for her to see it. :) I was able to "force" her and take pictures of her as a souvenir. :) She gladly obliged but at some point discouraging us na hahaha..
Here are shots of us enjoying the scenery but not the scorching heat! Riley fell asleep at some point but that did not stop us from taking pics hehe.. :D
Can you guess the hidden mickeys in this photo? :) There are some plants that does not look real especially the checkered leaf plant (that's how I personally call it anyway) and the small pineapple. All-in-all, it is such a nice bonding moment for all of us. :)

Haven't been shopping for a long time for Riley.. I have been itching on getting him some nice shoes and when I visited Mothercare, I just can't resist getting him these Pediped shoes! I got the color brown.
We also got him a Tommee Tippee sippy cup and Avent bottle handles. He still needs some getting used to the sippy cup but he likes having handles in his Avent bottles. Good buy for me!

Our common bonding time is to just stay at the room, sing Riley some nursery rhymes like ABC, Old MacDonald, Humpty Dumpty, etc., read him books, tickle him, laugh with him and most importantly, take photos with him. :p Whoops! baligtad! haha..

As early as now, I am determined in buying Riley a bicycle so we can teach him how to ride it. When I was a kid, I enjoyed learning how to ride it. I am in the company of my female cousins and we teach each other how to. :) It was a fond and wonderful childhood memory and I want Riley to have a nice one too. :)
Here are the cool bikes I recently saw in a magazine. I can probably buy him a regular bicycle or choose these fancy AND pricey ones.Think, think, think! Oh, mummy wants the best for his son! hehehe..

Frozen Yogurt

We usually have lunch at Holland Village every Tuesday and Thursday mainly due to Science Park provides free shuttle service to and from Holland V as people usually call the place. One time, we got a frozen yogurt craving and we tried Frolick. This is located beside Crystal Jade, Xiao Long Bao. :)
I ordered the green apple frozen yogurt, topped with granola. It's really delish! Yummy!

Yes, we've watched this concert here in Singapore Indoor Stadium. It was a blast!
Janet's production numbers are all breathtaking! We can't help but dance along with her on upbeat songs and sing with her on love songs.

Riley's First Solids

He just looooooooooooooooves food! We're really planning on giving him solids once he reaches 6th month but we opted to give him days after his fifth month. He actually seems ready when he reached 4th month because of these signs:
- he always watches us when we eat.. very curious!
- he reaches for the food he sees
- he attempts to bring anything to his mouth
- he sorts of chews when he sees food or us eating
- he seems to get hungry easily
We chose to wait for a while because they say that's it's better for the baby's tummy/digestive system to mature some more before introducing solids. But now we can't resist! He just loves carrots, potato and sweet potato! We started feeding him once a day and seems to be going pretty well. :)
I'm planning to make sure he tries everything but we will mainly prepare fruits and vegetables for him. More natural. But we're still open to giving him Nestle Cerelac, Gerber and Heinz baby foods once in a while so he gets accustomed to different tastes and textures :)
Really enjoy feeding him! :)

Hubby and I tried it before when we went to Pinas for vacation. And I must say, it's really has an authentic Italian taste to it. Yummy yum yum!

We got this as a gift from Cel last Christmas. :) It's just now that we had the chance to actually open and play this board game.
Memory flashback! Hubby is not yet courting me that time but we had a team gathering at their place. Our project manager has this game back then so we played. It's a lot of fun if played with more than 4players. :D Wala lang hahaah.. ahh! memories!
We love this game! Hubby and I played one-on-one and it's also fun din pala! :) We played it twice and I won on both games! hahaha.. :)
