Daddy Loves to Give Riley a Bath

We have attempted to give him a bath at the bathroom already. The third time, there was an accident where he slipped on his tub. His face hit the side of the tub and it seems that after that, he does not like to take a bath there anymore. :(

So for now, we returned his bath time location at our very reliable dining table haha! It's a bit of a challenge now to give him a bath because he either likes to hold the water or stand. He plays his usual "splish-splashing" of water so imagine the dining area with overflowing water hehe..

I am so happy seeing hubby enjoying the bath time moments with Riley. A really good sign that they'll bond well as Riley grows up. :)

The Me Day!

Yes, it's a me day since it's mother's day! :) Weng and I booked Vintage Salon for our hair treatment services. Sometime last March I think, we bought vouchers to this salon for a package treatment. I arrived there first and I was immediately accommodated. They offered drinks while I wait for Weng and when she arrived, the treatment started. She got the scalp treatment while I got the hair coloring treatment. It was such a wonderful and relaxing moment for me -- something I have not done for soooo long. And aylavet! :)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Last night was just a simple celebration for us.. Our usual bonding moment when it was only just the two of us. Dinner and movie date. Oh yeah yeah, it's boring for some but to us, it's actually fine especially that we haven't been doing it a lot for a while now. :) For hubby, it is still a very nice way to celebrate because his birthday is just in time for the Thor movie. Being a Marvel fan himself, he won't let this pass! :)

So after having a so-so dinner at Big-O cafe Paragon, we just roam around for a bit at the Paragon. The place is really different during weekdays as it looks very deserted, in a spooky kind of way. :) We got used to Paragon having a reasonable amount of people inside it probably because we usually go there in weekends (my OB's clinic is at Paragon). After a while, we decided to go to Plaza Singapura since it is nearby The Cathay, where we will watch a movie. We went to a Lego store and found out that there's Lego Minifigures Series 4 Already! We haven't even completed the Series 3 yet! Oh my! Guess what happened next?

We went to The Cathay and stayed at Starbucks for a while. Hubby must have his birthday cake! Bought him the chocolate cake and his ever favorite, Java Chip Frappucino. And oh! It is not only me who greeted him happy birthday but the minifigs as well. Hahaha..

Happy happy birthday Daddy! Everyday is wonderful because of you and I thank God for that. :) Please bear with my shortcomings, believe it or not, I am a work in progress.. to be a better person. I love you so much!

Impromptu

Hubby and I had an impromptu dinner date last night. We haven't been spending time alone for a long time now so I guess it's just right for us to do it. :) We initially planned on having a once a week alone time but didn't really followed it. Most of the times, we really like spending our alone time with Riley so I think it is still good.

Had dinner at Bakerzin and we both got their bento meals. He got the Japanese beef curry while I got the carbonarra. :) It is very yummy and filling. I wasn't able to eat my dessert! We're not supposed to be allowed to bring the dessert home but I asked if it is possible once I buy one more dessert. The manager, being so mabait and so pinoy, agreed. :) Yay! Just participated at home.. we just lit up some candles.. stay in bed.. play with Riley.. contribute to the cause.. and it's quality time for us! :) I love spending time with my two boys!

Playtime

It's nice to see hubby and Riley bond. I want our family to be close so this is a good sign that hubby is really a hands-on daddy. :)

What's the Matter, Peanut Butter?

Just thought of blogging Riley's different moods. :)

Riley's really into watching Playhouse Disney. He especially likes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Special Agent Oso. Here, he looks bored but no! This is just one of the rare moments I catched him like this. Hehehe..

And when he's watching Mickey or Oso, he never notices anyone. He's too focused and it's contagious. Just look at nanay. :p

And even it is eating time, he's tulala and seems to not care about his food. But stop for a moment and he'll stare at his food asking for some more! :p Lately, we are trying not to open the TV when he's eating so he knows that he must finish eating first before doing anything else. Good that most of the time now, we feed him earlier than his fave shows because he's up earlier than usual. :)

Multi-tasker? Playing with his toy while watching tv hehe.. :)

You might think that he watches too much TV but I think not. He has his usual play, singing and reading time. Here he is playing with his toes...

and eating them! hahaha..

And oh! If he's hungry, don't mess with him! He knows what food is.. (Daddy looks afraid haha)

Here he is one time we tried giving him green mango. He loves it and when I told him he had enough, this is how he looked like. Nggiii... hehehe..

Chillaxing..

Our common bonding time is to just stay at the room, sing Riley some nursery rhymes like ABC, Old MacDonald, Humpty Dumpty, etc., read him books, tickle him, laugh with him and most importantly, take photos with him. :p Whoops! baligtad! haha..

While watching the tongue twister segment of Banana Split, I asked Mon to repeat this "Ang relo ni Leroy ay Rolex". He said it right twice but the third time made me laugh -- "Ang relo ni Leroy ay Rolek.. Ang..." Hahaha.. I told him, fake ang relo nya! Rolek! Hahaha.. Nagsa-'Starbuck' din kaya si Leroy pag kulang na lang mag-'collap' sya sa pagod or gusto nyang mag-'relak'? LOL!

One More Week..

til it's work mode again. Though next week, my boss will be giving me some tasks that I need to work on from home. I have to get my groove back as the coming weeks are going to be very hectic. I just hope that even though it'll be busy months ahead, I still have a chance to go home early on some days specially that Christmas season is near (and our anniversary as well).

Thinking about it, we won't be home for Christmas.. again. :( This will be the third Christmas away from home. We always head back home during CNY. Hopefully this time, we can have a longer vacation probably 2 -3 weeks.

As for our anniversary, we're cooking a simple yet special celebration. It will be just a few days of R&R as we won't be able to travel even to nearby countries like Malaysia and Indonesia (though I am hoping we can still accomodate it early next year :p).

Oh well, I must make most out of the few more days of rest. Have to make a last minute list of to dos. :p

How To Get To Avenue Q...

Here is my official kwento on our yesterday's kitakits for Avenue Q last Nov 1. Will blog in bullets para mas mabilis.. :))

• Weng was in charged of booking the tickets for us. And it was Weng's lucky day because the system assigned her reservation in front row! :) Ticket was a whooping 123 SGD but we are so sure it's worth it.

• Met at aroung 5pm at Marina Square, we had our early dinner (as per my request) at Breeks Cafe. Had a very sumptuous set of meal. :p

• Since we ate a lot and we are still a bit early for the play, we decided to walk outside esplanade and take some pics.

• I think it was around 730PM that we finally entered the theater. And whoah! we're really in front row. As in first row, middle. Woohoo. The stage is probably 2-feet away. And though the management explicitly said we can't take photos, we had sneaked for a few not-so-good-shots. Oh well, what the heck! At least we have some pics :))

• We really had a lot of fun watching the play. We even had some moments where we recalled our Miss Saigon stage play gig a few years back. Filipino performers are really amazing and world-class! (not that I am a Filipino hehehe..).
• After that two and a half hour play, seems that we can't get enough of each other hahaha.. Sinulit na talaga ang minsang mga gimik. So we opted to have coffee.. Starbucks is the nearest one, so off we go. And yey! Starbucks Special Christmas Season drinks are back! This time, it's Dark Cherry Mocha and Toffee Nut!

• So the usual chikahan and keep ups.. had a lot of fun.. The pictures said it all. :) Whoops! Kainis, wala pala akong group pic sa starbucks. :p

Bonding Moments..

Saturday: my very good friend Tin went back to Manila for a two-week vacation! Yeyey! At syempre meet agad kame. We met and ate (agad! haha) at McDo BF. Mon left us as il centro salon but unfortunately, they're just finishing the services for the customers inside. Chikahan ever pa kasi kami sa McDo eh hehe..

Tin and I hurried to Let's Face It for our planned foot spa and other pa-kikay but again, closed na. Good thing Going Straight Salon still accepts customers so Tin was able to have her haircut. ;) We then went to Ruins for more chikahan plus some shopping (si Tin lang ang nag-shopping hehehe). We just tried on some shades and we look a bit goofy hehe... Here are the pics:

We finally decided to call it a night since it's a bit late already. We'll be rescheduling our pa-kikay date some other time. hehehe.. Mon fetched me but we went to Shopwise to buy stuff for the house as well as our dear Jessie's dog food. I'm so happy that they are into contributing to saving Earth. They have introduced reusable shopping bags. To encourage customers and wise card holders, every purchase of the reusable bag will double the points of all items that can fit the bag. Nice. :)

I thought it will take a long time before this gear towards being Earth-friendly will be applied to our country. But it's here already. :) I hope other stores will be doing the same thing. This is a very good start, don't you think? :)

Sunday: I'm such a domesticated mama. My husband has work today so I just stayed home to take care of Jessie, cook, clean and do the laundry. I cooked his favorite Pinatisang Manok. Really easy to make so if wanna try it, you can send me a message for the recipe. I managed to take a picture of it sing my cellphone but it doesn't look mouth-watering. Swear sa actual, katakam-takam! Hahaha.. Feeling.. But actually, this really gives a sign for me to acquire a better digital camera, perhaps SLR camera (ahem ahem -- parinig kay Mon haha ;) .

Monday: Since it's a holiday, Mon dropped me off to my parents house for a visit (their company requires them to work even on a holiday haaayyy). My nieces and I went out for our bonding session. Time flies so fast! My nieces are young ladies now. Nakakatuwa silang damitan so I bought them some clothes. Good to see that they enjoyed the day with me. Hehehe..

Mon fetched us as Landmark Makati then went back to my parents house. We stayed for a while. Had a chitchat with all of them and went home after more than an hour. Jessie needs to drink her medicine na kasi and we're pretty sure Jessie is waiting for us. hehehe..

Sarap talaga pag long weekend! :) Looking forward sa next long weekend which is actually this coming weekend pala ulet! Hehehe.. I'm now thinking of what Mon and I can do for this coming weekend. Kayo, what do you love to do on long weekends?
