Mall Day

It's IMM, Jurong East this time. I really like this mall since there are a lot of outlet stores you can find there. There's Esprit, Giordano, Timberland, Crocs, Hang Ten, Bossini and a lot more. They also have a huge Daiso store that I haven't been to.

First stop is merienda time. For the lack of choice (read: tamad mag-isip), we settled for McDonald's. Here is the father-son tandem playing:

Next stop is we went to Esprit to buy pasalubong for our Pinas trip this month. Yes, we're going back for a few days holiday in Pinas to celebrate hubby's dad's 70th birthday. Since hubby is starting to get tired because he's carrying the 10 point something kg baby (hehe), we went to the customer service to borrow a stroller. It's really good that IMM has this service for their customers because sometimes, bringing a stroller is actually a hassle. Just go to the second level customer service area, present your EP/IC, fill up a form and you'll get the stroller right away. :) You have to leave your EP/IC though.

We just went inside a few stores until the baby finally fell asleep.

Dinner was at the nearest food court and we all opted for Japanese food. :D Didn't have the chance to take a picture of the food because we are really hungry. hehe..

Time Surely Flies!

So fast! That Riley is now eight months old! Wow! From a very tiny baby to how he is now, chubby but tall.

Looking back, the past 8 months is really wonderful to us. God blessed us with a wonderful baby boy and our lives really changed a lot. He can do a lot of things already and we are happy that he is exploring things himself and with us guiding him along the way. :)

Loving Vitamin Water

I have been hearing and reading about Vitamin Water but can't seem to find one here in Singapore. Then one time we are inside Cold Storage, I saw a few flavors. I bought three and I liked all of it. :) Very subtle flavor and not too sweet. :)

I'd probably buy from time to time 'cause it's really good! :)

Holy Week

It's very fortunate of us to be very near a church, Blessed Sacrament Church. Accessibility is important especially that we have a baby with us. Any emergency, we can go back home within five minutes time and return to church afterwards. This happened to us a few times already when Riley pooped just right after entering the church. We still were able to hear mass and Riley comfortable all throughout it.

Holy week is another chance for us to repent for our sins and be thankful to God as well for giving His own son, Jesus Christ to save all of us. I am really determined to instill to Riley the values necessary for him to be a good follower of God.

Another Lunch Fiesta and Korean Bibimbap Making

Whoah! We have a lot of food today! Still, we enjoyed it a lot and it was devoured in a breeze. We ate at the playroom/pantry area since it is raining hard outside. No picnic today.. :)

After that very very filling lunch, we have to attend to the Korean Bibimbap session since we signed up for it. :) So we just listened to how it is made, prepared some for ourselves but did not eat it. We just had it as take away. :) Mon loved it! Of course, he's a bibimbap fan. :D

Clementi Mall

We wanted to check out the new Clementi Mall so we headed out and explored the place. We had lunch at Fish and Co.

We headed to a baby store where I got Riley some toothbrush (in stages), new feeding bottle nipples and a munchkin fruit net.

We also went to the newly opened Fair Price Finest. And it's fun that they have a kiosk where you can scan, pack and pay yourself. :) Hubby tried it and it's pretty good. Only problem is that if you bought something very light, in our case we bought a dishwashing foam, it cannot be detected when placed on the plastic. Apparently, there's some sort of detector/weighing scale below to detect if you actually have placed the item after scanning or have not scanned the item place on the plastic. Again, it's pretty good and only needs minor changes to detect light items.

Karate?

Hubby and I wants to encourage Riley to take up martial arts classes once he reach the suitable age. We are very hopeful he will like it as we think self-defense is a very good thing to learn. Riley is really malikot when asleep. One time, we just saw him in this position. Is it a sign that he'll enjoy martial arts lesson? Hahaha..

Impromptu

Hubby and I had an impromptu dinner date last night. We haven't been spending time alone for a long time now so I guess it's just right for us to do it. :) We initially planned on having a once a week alone time but didn't really followed it. Most of the times, we really like spending our alone time with Riley so I think it is still good.

Had dinner at Bakerzin and we both got their bento meals. He got the Japanese beef curry while I got the carbonarra. :) It is very yummy and filling. I wasn't able to eat my dessert! We're not supposed to be allowed to bring the dessert home but I asked if it is possible once I buy one more dessert. The manager, being so mabait and so pinoy, agreed. :) Yay! Uh-oh!

Am I turning Riley to be a food junkie? Noooo! I think any food he sees, he likes to try. So when he saw me eating Pepero, he just have to have it! :p

P.S. Lesson learned, don't stock on junk foods. You may indulge sometimes but DO NOT STOCK. Just buy one, share with everyone and that's it! :) No more second rounds! :)

Walker

Riley's now using his hand-me-down walker! Yes, I think it's already a good time for him to try a new "gadget". :) This one is from her Ninang Cel, used by David and Daniel. Still in a very good condition.

Funny how babies usually start with the walker, they walk backwards all the time! hehehe... I'm sure in a matter of weeks, he'll learn to manoeuvre properly. :)

Cold Chicken Pasta Salad

We had a short session on cold chicken pasta salad making at the office. This is another of the good things here at work, they make an effort to make sure of the well-being of employees by providing activities other than work hehe.. :)

Initially, I thought I cannot eat it but once I tasted it, it is actually good! :) It is also very healthy as the ingredients are a mixture of shredded cooked chicken breast, diced tomatoes, diced bell pepper (preferrably 3 colors for variety), cooked pasta, a little sesame oil, sesame seeds, crushed black pepper, sugar and light soya sauce. :)

Wednesday Lunch Fiesta

Yes, we decided to have that in the office for the main reason that we are getting tired of eating at the nearest food courts at the office. There are 3 available food courts, 1 in DSO where we don't eat at all, so the remaining two will be at Cintech and Science Hub. We do not go to Holland Village every week as it is costly and of course takes us more lunch hours. :)

So after long talks, we decided for it to be every Wednesday. Everyone will bring in food to share. :) Here's the premiere hehehe...

Lunch at Thai Express

Before, I really don't like Thai express. Probably because the first time we ate there, I ordered the wrong food. You see, I am not a fan of super spicy food. I only can take spiciness up to a certain degree. :) But my colleagues, like it there and I was able to try some food in their menu that I actually like. So now, you can consider me a regular at Thai Express. We regularly go to Holland Village branch since it is quite near our place, plus free shuttle service are available every tuesdays and thursdays. :)

Dario and Tine's ROM

April 2 was a very remarkable day for Tine and Dario as they embark a new chapter in their lives. They got married via civil rights here in Singapore and I must say, it's a day filled with love and laughter. :)

We arrived there promptly (330PM, not Filipino time hehe) and had some photo ops before guests start to arrive. We just had to grab the opportunity especially that Riley has no sumpong yet (but he rarely have sumpong episodes anyway). Here are some pics:

Guests started to come in by 4-430pm and the room got crowded fast. Lots of chika chika until we're suprised that Dario and Tine are already walking, entering the function room of their condo. The ceremony is actually starting! It was fast and breezy! Congrats to the newlyweds!

The middle pictures, we gave the couple their gift. We made a simple card for them. Here is the bigger version of the card:

Dario and Tin actually prepared three games (mind you with prizes). But among all three the game for the singles is the most fun of all. Here, they have to guess the what, when, where questions about the couple. Our two female colleagues are the final two contestants. Tin's male colleagues got the highest too. After a while, it became to female contestants for the only male contestant. After all the hullabaloo, our female colleague who loves to cook was chosen! woohoo! :)

This is a very wonderful and memorable event. We had a lot of fun alongside being happy for Dario and Tine. :)

April Fools Day

Yes it is! A colleague attempted to fool us by saying he is resigning but we got him a tad before believing that it is true! Whew!

Aside from that, we had the impromptu dinner at Lau Pa Sat. We all chose to eat at Tapa King as we are craving for Filipino food. After that, we headed at the Esplanade and just chillax. :) It was a fun and relaxing night for us. Just enjoyed the Marina Bay Sands view and lights show. :)

The baby already sleepy.. Wala pa nga sa destination eh..
